TEAM BY TEAM ANALYSIS
AFC WEST BRONCOS Blogger: JIMMER Date: 03/31/2015

Quarterback Analysis: Peyton Manning returns as the quarterback for the Denver Broncos. Manning enters his 18th year in the NFL. He will be 39 this year. His backups are Brock Osweiler and Zac Dysert.

Coach Analysis: Surprisingly the Broncos released Head Coach John Fox and replaced him with Gary Kubiak. Kubiak was the Head Coach of the Houston Texans from 2006 through 2013 and was fired in December of 2013. Last year he was the offensive coordinator of the Balitmore Ravens.

CAP Analysis: The Broncos have $13 million remaining in CAP space as we head toward the 2015 draft.

Offense Analysis: Demaryius Thomas got the franchise tag this year and intends to sit out of the first round of training. C. J. Anderson will start for the Broncos. The now second year player showed signs of greatness having two back to back over 160 yard games last year. I expect to see more of a ground game this year with Manning in his late career and Kubiak at the helm. The offensive line has received another blow as Ryan Clady goes on injured reserve with a torn ACL. Richard Harris returns to fill in.

Defense Analysis: The Broncos need to improve on defense. They finished 17th against the score last year and if they do run the ball more they will need to hold the opposing team to low scoring numbers.

Divisional Analysis: The AFC West shows every sign of being a tight division this year as the Raiders are starting to hit their stride while the Chargers played well last year as did the Chiefs. I expect the Broncos to finish 2nd or third in their division.

Conference Analysis: I do not expect the Broncos to be in the playoffs this year unless it is as a wild card.

OverAll Analysis: I do not expect the Broncos to show up in the playoffs this year.

AFC WEST CHARGERS Blogger: JIMMER Date: 04/01/2015

Quarterback Analysis: Philip Rivers returns as quarterback but it is not certain if he will be there in 2016. It is all talk at this point but there has been discussion as to whether he will remain after this year. Tom Telesco (General Manager) felt the need to quash those rumors in the third week of March saying that a trade is not on their radar. Rivers has elected not to have back surgery this off season. He is backed up by Kellen Clemens a 10 year veteran.

Coach Analysis: Head Coach Mike Mccoy enters his third year as the Head Coach of the Chargers. Frank Reich enters his second year as the Offensive Coordinator of the Chargers. John Pagano also enters his third year as the Defeinsive Coordinator. The coaching staff should really gel this year.

CAP Analysis: The Chargers sit at about $132 million depending on who makes the team. That leaves them somewhere in the neighborhood of $16 million as we move toward the NFL 2015 draft.

Offense Analysis: The Chargers languished in the middle of team offenses ranking 17th in scoring, 10th in passing and a dismal 30th in rushing. They picked up Stevie Johnson from the 49ers and Jacoby Jones from the Ravens wihich should strengthen an already good passing game.

Defense Analysis: San Diego had an outstanding pass defense last year ranking 4th defending against passing yardage. They were 30th against the rush and 13th against the score.

Divisional Analysis: I believe that if the Chargers can step up their rushing game on both sides of the ball and if this third year coaching staff has truly come together they should win the AFC West Divison.

Conference Analysis: If they can win the division as I believe they will, then they can enter the playoffs in a good position. With the Patriots weakened at corner back the Chargers have a good chance to go deep into the playoffs.

OverAll Analysis: I expect the Chargers to win 11 games this year in the regular season and at least make it to the AFC Championship game in the post season.

AFC WEST CHIEFS Blogger: JIMMER Date: 04/02/2015

Quarterback Analysis: Alex Smith returns as the starting quarterback. He is backed up by Chase Daniel and Aaron Murray. Smith had a year like his previous years throwing for 3,265 yards with a good ratio of 18 touchdowns vs 6 interceptions. They also added Terrelle Pryor in January of this year.

Coach Analysis: Andy Reid enters his third year as head coach of the Chiefs. The staff remains largely unchanged from last year.

CAP Analysis: The Chiefs have something in the neighborhood of $12 million remaining in CAP space. They seem unwilling to do anything with the money unless they are planning to make moves in the draft.

Offense Analysis: Jamaal Charles (RB) appears likely to be the Chiefs offense again this year. Charels had his third 1,00 year game in a row last year. The Chiefs have made no changes at wide receiver to this point although there are some good targets in the draft this year. They will continue to be a middle of the pack offensive team unless they do pick up some wideouts in the draft.

Defense Analysis: The Chiefs were number two against the score last year and should continue to be a good defense in 2015.

Divisional Analysis: The Chiefs will finish behind the Chargers and will battle the Broncos for second in the Division.

Conference Analysis: The Chiefs will not make the playoffs this year.

OverAll Analysis: The Chiefs should win nine games this year.

AFC WEST RAIDERS Blogger: JIMMER Date: 04/16/2015

Quarterback Analysis: Derek Carr is the established quarterback for the Raiders after last years performance. He is backed up by Christian Ponder who is a good backup.

AFC EAST PATRIOTS Blogger: JIMMER Date: 05/31/2015

Quarterback Analysis: The Patriots will do without QB Tom Brady for the first four weeks of the regular season as things stand now. Brady has appealed. Jimmy Garoppolo (QB) will start those games. But as of the start of June Brady commands the field during practice.

Coach Analysis:

CAP Analysis:

Offense Analysis: The Patiots have lost Shane Vereen (RB) and Stevan Ridley (RB).

Defense Analysis: The Patriots have lost 4 of 5 corner backs. They also traded away Vince Wilfork. Jabaal Sheard and Brandon Spikes were signed. Malcom Brown (DT) was signed in the draft. Bradley Fletcher (CB) was signed from the Eagles.

Quarterback Analysis: At quarterback we have the perpetual question as to whether RGIII can stay healthy and even further, can he play quarterback in the NFL. Add to that an offensive line that gives him very little time in the pocket.
